Climate change affects almost every aspect of society and the economy.

While climate change’s upward trend poses systemic risks, it also creates opportunities for companies to gain an advantage through effective risk management and investment opportunities. Climate change has no precedent and significant challenges will emerge in crafting business strategies. Having an understanding of the financial and scientific implications of climate change is critical for companies navigating this new landscape.  The University of Maryland combines its world-class expertise in climate science, finance, and public policy to prepare our partners to plan for and respond to the opportunities and risks of a changing climate.
